1. Point Calculation and Low Heart Rate:
Q: My heart rate is naturally low, so my friends are getting more points even though I work out harder. How can I make that change?
A: Points are calculated based on multiple factors, including heart rate data, distance, duration, and watching content through the app. The current design is intended to continuously reward people who are not as fit. However, Strove is actively working on a new feature to introduce tiers, which will place users into a specific category based on their activity levels, making competition relative to their personal fitness journey and addressing this issue.
2. Data Trends Over Time:
Q: Can users view trends over time, like sleep improvement, stress levels, or activity patterns, and how does the app visualise that?
A: For specific activities (like runs), no, the app does not show trend analysis yet, but it is a feature they are working towards. However, the Insight Survey feature does show a trend analysis from the beginning of the year to now on an overall basis, factoring in data from activities, sleep, and mood scores. All your personal progress is housed in your health data wallet.
3. Points for Nutrition:
Q: Do we get points for what we eat?
A: Unfortunately, points are not allocated for meals yet, but it is something Strove is looking into. The meal-logging feature is primarily for accountability and providing you with insights on how to improve and balance your nutrition.
4. Meditation Saving Issue:
Q: I struggle to get my meditations to save. I do them, but they don't show under my activities. What am I missing?
A: This sounds like a bug or a glitch. You should reach out directly to Strove's support team at support@strove.ai so they can look into it and resolve the issue.
5. Data Privacy:
Q: Who do you sell the data to?
A: Strove do not sell user data to anyone. User data is aggregated, meaning it is compiled and anonymised when viewed on the admin portal, ensuring personal security.
6. Weekly Points Limit:
Q: Does the amount of points you can earn per week go up? Is it always limited to 200?
A: The weekly maximum of 200 points is currently set based on client contracts. It is not increasing at this time. However, the future introduction of tiers will mean the rewards will be adjusted based on a user's specific tier and activity level.
7. Simple Routine for Busy Individuals:
Q: I juggle a lot (kids, running a business, etc.). What's the simplest routine that allows me to earn rewards consistently?
A: Suggestions for a simple routine include:
- Starting your day with one of the short meditations (e.g., the 'Start Your Day' meditation).
- Doing a short walk after dropping off the kids.
- Taking a 20-minute "admin walk" during lunchtime to multitask and get steps in.
- Finding time for a 20-minute workout (run, tennis, strength) two to three times a week.
- Using the ready-made recipes in the app's resource section to simplify meal planning.
- For personalised guidance, you can use the self-pay Nourish feature to access a one-on-one dietitian.
8. Strove's Unique Selling Proposition (USP):
Q: There are a lot of apps and lifestyle-focused tools out there (watches, rings). What is Strove's USP? Why should we join?
A: Strove's strength is its holistic approach to well-being, which is often missing in other devices and apps that primarily focus on just activity and sleep tracking. The app's five core pillars provide a comprehensive value proposition:
- Physical Health
- Mental Health (meditations, breathwork)
- Nutrition (meal-scanning and recipes)
- Health Data (centralised wallet)
- Rewards
9. Activity Monitor Compatibility:
Q: Is there a particular activity monitor that you recommend that is more compatible with the app than the others?
A: Strove does not recommend one specific device. All the connections listed in the app (like Garmin, Aura, Apple Health, etc.) are your best options. You can also connect to the app through Strava. If you do not have a wearable, you can use your phone to track activity, but heart rate data from a wearable will provide more insight for point calculation.
