One of the benefits of being a Maverick Insider is ad-free browsing. You could still be seeing ads in two instances:
You are a donor (you previously donated) and not a Maverick Insider. Only Maverick Insiders have access to the benefit of ad-free browsing. Click here for more information on Donations vs Maverick Insider.
You are a Maverick Insider but it is very likely that you have not switched off ads yet. To resolve this please follow these steps:
Log in at www.dailymaverick.co.za/sign-in using your registered email address and password
- Click on Your Account in the top right corner
- Under Your Content, select Ad preferences
Turn off Ad Preferences
Click Update to save your changes
3. You’ve switched ads off but are not logged in to your account on the website.
Please make sure you are always logged in to the website on all devices on which you access DM since the website has no way of knowing whether a visitor to the site is a Maverick Insider or not unless they are logged in. If not, the ads will appear once again.
NOTE: Check Remember Me to stay logged in on your web browser. We recommend you only do this on a trusted device.
